Cath Thompson is the Executive Assistant to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Indigenous Engagement), Professor Bronwyn Fredericks. Cath has a Bachelor of International Business and an Export Management Diploma.

She has studied Japanese for over 8 years and lived in Japan for 6 months and is happy to practise conversing with anyone wanting to learn basic Japanese.

Cath has been at UQ for nearly 10 years providing high-level administrative support in the Academic Services Division (Examinations and Graduations sections), the Planning Office and for the past nearly 6 years with the School of Health and Rehabilitation. She looks forward to her new role in providing assistance to Bronwyn Fredericks and working with the ATSIS Unit Team. Cath is on the UQPN (UQ Professionals Network) Executive Committee as a General Committee Member. She has been a member since 2009.
