UQ plans online activities to celebrate NAIDOC Week

2 July 2021

NAIDOC Week is all about celebrating the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

UQ has a fun-filled week of online activities, that range from cooking shows to podcasts, yarning circles and watch parties.

It’s a great week to learn more about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and understand how to 'Heal Country'.

The 2021 theme of 'Heal Country' calls for stronger measures to recognise, protect, and maintain all aspects of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and heritage.

Healing Country means embracing First Nation’s cultural knowledge and understanding of Country as part of Australia's national heritage.
