Emma is a proud Wiradjuri woman, born in Muloobinba (Newcastle), NSW, but moved to Queensland and grew up in Quandamooka (Moreton Bay).

Emma has completed a Bachelor of Applied Management, with a major in Leadership in 2017; This was an aspiration of Emma’s for a very long time, and with hard work and the right opportunities it was achieved. Wanting to ensure that everyone is afforded those opportunities, Emma is passionate about encouraging more Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to follow their aspirations, dreams and ambitions.  It’s never too late or too earlier, the learn. It’s knitted into the fabric of our culture.

Emma comes with 9 years’ experience in working in a central agency within the Queensland State Government; working collaboratively with departments, building relationships and networks. Leveraging from her previous experiences, Emma wanted to be a part of engaging the Community and is passionate and excited about building new relationships, supporting and inspiring generations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders in their pathways to University and aspiring to be what they want to be!
