InspireU Business

Business and related areas such as finance, economics and accounting, are some of the most popular fields studied at universities worldwide.

Business graduates are in high demand and their work influences much of modern human society: careers are diverse and often highly paid.

The InspireU Business camp provides an opportunity for up to 20 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students from schools across Queensland to participate in a number of activities designed to provide an insight into studying business at UQ. It also helps shine a light on the wide range of career and study opportunities available to business students and graduates.

Student participants take part in a number of activities during the week that are both informative and interactive, including business workshops, workplace visits, as well as creating group presentations of business models linked to entrepreneurship and innovation. Recently, students also visited Blue Sky Investment where they heard from a number of employees about working within the financial sector.

Cost and travel

The reasonable cost associated with attendance at the camp, including board, meals and program activities plus transportation to and from UQ St Lucia campus where required, will be met by UQ. Participants may wish to bring a small amount of spending money.
