26 July 2019

The UQ NAIDOC Festival is a celebration and recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, music and art in line with the annual NAIDOC Week theme. This year’s theme is ‘Voice Treaty Truth - Let’s work together for a shared future’. The Festival program showcases a number of workshops, films, dance groups, artists, musicians, panels, market stalls and Australian native foods and beverages. The Festival will be held across our three main campuses (Herston, Gatton and St Lucia) from August 6-8, 2019.

The main Festival will be held on the Upper Forgan Smith and Art Museum lawns (off University Drive) at St Lucia campus on Thursday 8 August, and is open to all UQ staff, students, alumni, friends, families, partners and the wider Brisbane community. The UQ NAIDOC Festival will be a fun, relaxing day out and a day of celebration, discussion and experience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge, languages, truth sharing and cultures.
