21 December 2017

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies Unit will be closed during the holiday period from noon Friday the 22nd of December and will reopen on the 2nd of January 2018. From the 2nd of January until the 8th of January swipe card access will be required to enter the ATSIS Unit.

Acting Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Indigenous Engagement), Mr Shane Drahm would like to thank the staff of the ATSIS Unit who have helped and supported many students throughout the year. He also would like to acknowledge the efforts of all the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, particularly those graduating this year.

“I would like to acknowledge the performance of our wonderful Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in 2017 and congratulate the students who graduated in 2017.  We wish all of the graduates every success in the next chapter of their lives” said Mr Drahm.

“2018 looks very busy already with the Senior Engineering and Junior STEM InspireU camps beginning in January and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies Unit Pre-Orientation Program on the 7th and 8th of February,” he added.

The walkways are empty at The University of Queensland for the holiday season.
